Although it is too early for any team to start player transfers, it is not late for football pundits to speculate which players are on which teams hunting basket. Manchester United are seen as many as one of the clubs that will be knocking the markets in search of players for their team wic is now realizing it’s glorious form.
Kalidou Koulibaly’s agent has played down the chances of the Napoli defender joining arc rivals Juventus. Koulibaly has emerged as United’s number one summer transfer target they look to strengthen their defence.
The Senegalese international was on Jose Mourinho’s radar last summer but the Old Trafford board failed to follow up the interest. Napoli have no intention of selling the 27 year old and are likely to demand a world record fee for the defender.
Juventus have also been credited with an interest in Koulibaly but his agent Bruno Satin has played down the chances of him moving to a Serie A rival.
“Koulibaly at Juventus? He’s very close to Napoli, the club and above all to the city,” Satin told a radio station.
“I don’t think he would ever betray them to go to Juventus, but let’s not forget that they are professional players.”If you have the chance to play on important stages, you listen, even if I repeat he is very close to Napoli.”
United are pressing ahead with their summer transfer plans despite the uncertainty over who will be manager next term. Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic is seen as a cheaper alternative to Koulibaly if they cannot lure him to Old Trafford.
Borussia Dortmun’s Jadon Sancho is also on their radar although any deal is likely to depend on United finishing in the top four. They are also considering bringing in a new striker with Romelu Lukaku making way if they can snap up Paul Dybala or Mauro Icardi.
