Residents of Baringo have mourned the death of Lu Donglina, a Chinese man who owned a multi-million donkey slaughtering empire.
Donglina died last Sunday and was buried today(Wednesday, 20th Feb) in his farm located near his slaughterhouse.
Donglina is the proprietor of Goldox, a slaughterhouse for donkeys located in Mogotio, Baringo County.
The deceased had a lone Chinese restaurant in Nakuru and is the one who opened up the donkey meat business in the region.
The business, amid opposition by animal rights crusaders was praised by locals who have been earning deep since its establishment.
Apart from buying asses from the residents of Baringo, Turkana, Samburu and other counties, the empire has also employed about 200 locals.
In his farm, Donglina has established a factory that made organic fertilizer from donkey bones.
