Woman stabbed in Nandi institute amid an alleged love triangle

A woman at Kaiboi Technical Institute in Nandi was on Monday stabbed in the neck as she was queueing for breakfast.

According to Kaiboi Location Chief Wilson Serem, one of the students began harassing her and an altercation ensued.

The administrator, who identified the man who allegedly stabbed the deceased as a student from the National Youth Service, claimed that the two were involved in a love triangle and that is what led to the quarrel.

Police were called in, having a difficult time accessing the scene after irate students attacked the man and seriously injured him.

Kaiboi Technical Institute has since been closed with the management saying:

“Due to students unrest, arising from an assault of a female student by a male student. It has become necessary to close the institute until further notice. You are hereby urged to vacate the institute immediately.”
