Kenya Film and Classification Board CEO, Ezekiel Mutua has announced his meeting with the King of Entertainment in the spirit of boosting the creative industry.
Ezekiel Mutua will today hold discussions with top Kenya’s Comedian Churchill to discuss collaboration in promoting the creative industry in Kenya through their new facility; Nairobi Film Centre.
This will go a long way in providing the young and local talents with a platform and opportunities to showcase their talent.
Earlier last week, Kenya Film Classification Board announced a major partnership with local creative artists who have been showing interest in the use of Nairobi Cinema which is the biggest theater in East and Central Africa.
For a start,KFCB teamed up with Dr Kingori who held a comedy event last week.
Mutua said that this counted as their biggest partnership with a local creative artist at the newly acquired KFCB Nairobi Cinema facility.
Churchill on his end has taken up initiative to support and promote talent through his comedy show.
The partnership between KFCB and the local creatives will with no doubt help in identifying local talent and also promote competition even in the International circles.
Following this announcement, Kenyans have also suggested that KFCB should hold a general meeting with the local creatives from different backgrounds since they are faced with different challenges.
This meeting will however be the first step to transforming the industry and is something that many are looking forward to.
