Ole Gunnar Solskjaer enjoys the FA Cup, the competition he only won twice as a player. He could now do it as a manager with one more step closer to the target having seen Arsenal and Chelsea off.

After the 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, he spoke to BBC hosts in the studio: ”The league will, of course, be very important for us but then again a trophy would be fantastic to end up with. The FA Cup is one of the best trophies you can win. I played in 1999. Alan (Shearer), I think you played (smiles).”

The jibe caused plenty of laughs in the studio where Shearer replied: ”Thanks Ole I was having a great night until then!”

Shearer did play in the cup final his Newcastle lost 2-0 to United in 1999. That was part of the treble hence the special feelings for Ole.

Solskjaer also discussed his tactical plan for the Chelsea game which consisted of reshuffling his midfielders and their roles. Ander Herrera praisedthe coaching staff for making changes which resulted in United being dangerous.
