It was an exclusive invite only event to celebrate love between Lang’ata MP Nixon Korir and the love of his life and mother of his three children, Beryl Zoraima, on Saturday, February 16. The couple who met at the University of Nairobi in 2006 solemnised their seven-year-old marriage in front of family and friends at the Karen Blixen Museum, Nairobi.
The invite-only event was attended by, among others, Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen, Senators Susan Kihika (Nakuru) and Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho). Also in attendance for the exclusive event were MPs Charles Kanyi ‘Jaguar’ (Starehe), John Kiarie (Dagoretti South) and radio show host-cum-comedian Jalang’o.
The youthful first-time MP won the Lang’ata parliamentary seat on a Jubilee party ticket in the 2017 elections. He has almost alwas been in the line of power as he was a former Secretary-General for Student Organisation of Nairobi University (Sonu).
Ms Zoraima is a lawyer who works for Kenya Pipeline Company. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Nairobi last December.
