Senator Kimani Wamatangi’s car bazaar, entailing a car wash and carpet-cleaning area were today demolished.
The business, located near Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, is the first one this year after the wave of demolition of buildings on riparian and grabbed land that swept the city by storm in 2018.
It was demolished alongside other building such as Prime Place Restaurant and other adjacent structures on Railway land.
A contingent of police officers was deployed to oversee the early morning operation that slowed traffic on the busy Lang’ata Road.
The senator is yet to comment on the issue.
