The Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli now wants the national and county governments to sought the ongoing nurses strike.
According to Atwoli while speaking in an interview claimed that President Uhuru deserved a better adviser other than what he was getting from Labour Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yattani.
He further continued saying that the CS is to blame for the health crisis following the decision of nurses to stay away from their workplaces.
He further urged the government to address the grievances of the nurses before it is too late for the sake of the common mwananchi.
His comments comes a day after President Kenyatta directed all nurses across the country to end their strike or be sacked
Following a statement signed by the chair of Council of governors Governor Oparanya and Health CS Sicily Kariuki, the government warned to take stern action against nurses who will go against the order of the Head of State.
However the order did not scare the nurses as the Kenya National Union of Nurses Secretary General Seth Panyako urged nurses not to report to work until their grievances are addressed.
