Moses Kuria’s new plan to de-thrown Adan Duale as Majority leader

If Duale removes me from House committees, I will vie and defeat him as Leader of Majority - Moses Kuria

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has expressed his intention to take over the position of Majority Leader in the National Assembly that is currently held by Garissa Town MP Aden Duale.

The MP said if Duale goes ahead with his plan to remove him (Kuria) from the Transport and Budget House committees, he would overthrow him.

The Gatundu South MP said Duale did not have the support of most Jubilee MPs and would move to topple him if he was de-whipped.

If Duale removes me from House committees, I will vie and defeat him as Leader of Majority - Moses Kuria

“He is in the House Business Committee and by his own admission, he said the house has other priorities (other than my bill). I have my beef with Duale, I have protected him from members because he has the confidence of the President…but this is purely a matter of a weak management style by the Leader of the Majority.”

“We are very frustrated with Duale…I want an exchange, let him remove me from the committees. I will call for a leadership challenge, I will vie for the Majority Leader and I will beat him hands down,” Kuria stated.

The outspoken legislator spoken even as senior Jubilee leaders dismissed claims that there was a plot to have Kuria removed from House committees.

Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju and National Assembly Chief Whip Benjamin Washiali said there were not aware of any official plans to de-whip the Gatundu South legislator.
