Slain Wambui’s husband fighting tears in court

Husband and suspect in thebrutal murder of Kiambu business woman Mary Wambui broke down during the case proceeding for an specifically unknown reason.

As hearing of the murder case commenced on Wednesday, he wiped his flowing tears at the court and could be heard crying.

Joseph Kori 41, who wore a black jacket was seen trying to control his tears at the Kiambu court as the hearing of the case went on.

When he was brought before the court, Kori was doing fine until his lawyer started presenting his case before Kiambu senior principal magistrate Stella Atambo.

He took out his white handkerchief and begun wiping his tears that were freely flowing down his cheeks at the court.

Judy Wangui who is Kori’s mistress and also  a suspect in the murder of Mary Wambui Kamangara sought to be released on bond as she is being sexually harassed at the Juja Police Station where she is being held.

Appearing in a Kiambu court alongside other suspects; Joseph Kori Karue and Michael Githae, Wangui in a bond application through her lawyer Cliff Ombeta, also alleged that she has also been tortured.

Police are seeking 14 more days to continue detaining the three suspects over the murder.

The prosecution told Kiambu senior principal magistrate that investigators need more time to complete investigations which is a complex matter.
