Resume duty or be sacked, Uhuru tells nurses

Following the ongoing nurse strike that has affected almost  counties, President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed all nurses to resume to duty by 15th of this month 8 am.

President Uhuru futher stated that the government is at liberty to take any action that deems rights to any individual who fails to resume duty as directed by the labour court.

“Any nurse who fails to go back to  work will be dismissed by the county Government and ministry of health” noted President Uhuru.

Uhuru Kenyatta also urged the ministry of health and County Government to discuss health issues so as to provide adequate and affordable health services to Kenyans.

“Central Government has been sorting to improve health sector together with counties to achieve big four agenda which is affordable health care”.Said Uhuru Kenyatta.

The president also expressed his disappointment by the nurses officials who have been championing the on going strike even after the labour court’s order.
