Moses Kuria offers full university scolarship to a “mitumba seller”

Controversial Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria announced to grant a second hand mitumba seller a full university scolarship

Felister Wanjiku Mbugua  holds a BA in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Nairobi and the legislator was moved by her current situation in a bid to transform the lives of graduates in Gatundu South.

While taking to his  facebook page he wrote,“At the request of the unemployed graduates, and through my National Government Constituency Development Fund, we will give full scholarship to University of Nairobi Political Science and Sociology graduate Felistas Wanjiku Mbugua who has been admitted for a Master’s Degree in Public Administration at the prestigious London School of Economics.Felistas is currently hustling her way by selling second-hand clothes at Gatundu Market, the same market my mother and I used to sell fresh produce to pay for my high school education.All the best Felistas Wanjiku. Go to London and be a beacon of hope for other Wanjikus.”

Kuria was speaking during a meeting with over 400 unemployed graduates where he set out a plan to ensure they start businesses and gain employment in the next 12 months.

Kuria also stated that he would help them to acquire passports within the next month or so.
