Investigations into the murder of slain Dandora based Human Rights have taken another turn after her husband revealed that his wife was not pregnant as it has been alleged by police.
Caroline’s mutilated body was found at the city mortuary on Tuesday evening one week after being reported missing by her family. The DCI released a statement saying the mother of two died after a botched abortion at a clinic in Dandora.
“DCI officers launched investigations and it was established that Caroline was in constant communication with one Alexander Gitau Gikonyo who is known to be working in Isiolo County,” read in part the DCI statement.

However her husband has contradicted this statement saying that his wife was not pregnant. Joshua Ochieng also said that there is no way his wife could have procured an abortion since she hated it.
He added that the deceased body had deep gashing wounds inside the left thigh and her stomach, an indication that the injuries had been inflicted by a sharp object.
Caroline had documenting extra judicial killings in Dandora. A section of the public believes that her death had something to do with her line of duty.
