Top Shopping Center in Nairobi, Sarit Centre has issued a statement in regard to the banter going round on social media that people should avoid that region.
The news spreading online states that there is a heavy police presence to avert possible attack at the Sarit Center. However the Management has jumped in and urged their shoppers to treat the news as mere gossip.
“We would like to ensure all our shoppers and the public at large that these messages are merely gossip and should be treated as such. ” reads statement in part.
They also denied receiving any alert from the authorities regarding a heightened state of security at The Sarit Centre.
The management mentioned that they continue to work closely with the authorities to do their level best to provide shoppers with a safe and comfortable shopping environment.
They also urged the public to refrain from sharing and forwarding any unverified messages who’s only aim to spread needless fear and panic, and assures all shoppers that the Centre is indeed open for normal business.
