After six days of tireless search, the body of the late Caroline Mwatha was on Tuesday found at City Mortuary. A few hours later a press release on her death, from the DCI went viral revealing details of how Caroline sought for an abortion of 5-month-old pregnancy which lead to her demise.

In the statement, the pregnancy allegedly belonged to one Alexander Gitau Gikonya said to be working in Isiolo.
However, the Family of the deceased has raised doubts on the abortion narrative which was put forth by the police.

Her family stated that the body of the deceased; human activist Caroline Mwatha had two deep cuts, one on the thigh and another one on the neck. One of the cuts appeared to had been inflicted by a sharp object and there was blood from the wound.

The big question being, Was the abortion being procured around thighs and neck?

Besides, her pubic area was reportedly swollen and there was blood on her abdomen.

Her family further asked why their earlier searches at the mortuary had not borne any fruits yet the records indicated that the deceased’s body had already been booked in.

Furthermore, the family indicated that the mortuary record of the booking appeared to had been tampered with as it had been canceled out several times unlike records of other bodies.

Mwatha’s father, Stanlus Mbai, indicated that he first received a call from an unidentified number telling him to pick her daughter’s body at the morgue.

On calling back, the man who had communicated the news did not pick the phone.
Moments later, a call came from the police asking the family to report at Buruburu Police Station where they were briefed before being offered transport to City Mortuary.
