Sakaja’s Generosity ! Clears Sh85,000 medical bill for Dusit attack survivor Emmanuel Omala

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja on Monday cleared a Sh85,000 medical bill for the January 15 DusitD2 terror attack survivor Emmanuel Omala.

Sakaja has  also gone ahead to pay for six months house rent for Omala and promised to help him get back to school.This has happened a day earlier after Citizen TV highlighted the abandoned survivors story.

Omala  said that he was shot seven times on the stomach during Kenya’s latest attack that left 21 people dead.Omala told Citizen that he had signed an agreement with the hospital to be paying Sh3,000 every month until he clears bill. Unfortunately, the bill rised up to Sh100,000 and Omala had paid only Sh15,000.

“I had gone to deliver meat at the complex when I encountered the terrorists. I saw them. They were shooting aimlessly and I was caught up,” Omala narrated.

“I was admitted to Kenyatta hospital. Deputy President William Ruto visited us and told us the government would foot for all the medical bills for the victims. The next day, Health CS Sicily Kariuki also visited us and made the same promise,” he said.

However, Omala’s family got a rude shock when they were told to clear the bill since there was a “change in the government plan”.

Sakaja took into his twitter account posting photos of  him and   Omala. He wrote ;

“Emmanuel Omala is such an amazing soul & represents the spirit of the Kenyan people. Glad to have visited him earlier on today and cleared his bill at KNH. He is recuperating well and realizes that after surviving 7 bullets, God has a great plan for him. Keep him in your prayers“.

A happy Omala was pictured seated in his bedsitter with Sakaja as he sampled energy drinks and fruits brought by the senator.

Sakaja tweeted that he was glad to have visited Omala and asked Kenyans to pray for his full recovery.
