The Leopard Beach Resort in Diani, Kwale County, has not been spared by the ongoing inferno tragedies. The management of the Hotel is counting huge losses caused by a fire that started at around 9.30pm on Sunday.
This is after various fire incidences have been reported in the month of February.
On February 2nd, a fire started in a building called The Promenade on General Mathenge opposite Auto-express Off-Ring Road Parklands. On February 5, a huge inferno was reported in Nairobi’s satellite town of Kangemi
A few days ago, we had fire razing down JKUAT’s students’ center and cafeteria, then later another one consuming Gikomba market on February 6, 2019.
Then on Sunday evening, The leopard beach hotel encountered the bitter taste of fire for the second time after the 2012 inferno that really affected the business. Too sad!
Confirming the incident, Msambweni OCPD Joseph Chebusit stated that no injuries were reported.

Authorities believe that the fire sparked from fireworks on a makuti-thatched cottage during a wedding
A team of firefighters contained the fire before it spread to other areas of the populous market.
