The alleged murder of a woman by her husband and girlfriend continues to baffle many Kenyans. CCTV footage of slain businesswoman Mary Wambui’s last moments has recently emerged.The footage and details of the investigations and put together a sequence of what could have happened on the day of the murder.
Police sources say the footage incriminates Judy Wangui, one of the murder suspects who is also allegedly Kori’s mistress.
Pictures taken just hours before the murder paint a very cordial relationship between the accused and the late Mary Wambui, raising the question; What could have made Wangui turn on Wambui?
Footage from Homeland shows that the two arrived at 1:16pm. Photos from Judy’s phone show both enjoying each others company and sharing meat in childhood bliss.
The footage, that has been acquired from different locations that Wambui and suspect Judy Wangui visited on that fateful day, is expected to shed more light on the case.
Detectives are also in possession of photos from Judy’s phone that were taken on January 26.
A day after Ms Kamangara’s body was found, police sources said that she and Ms Mungai had gone to the latter’s home at around 5pm, a fact captured on CCTV.
In the house, police said, the two women found Mr Karue relaxing. His pictures were hanging on the wall. A scuffle ensued, and Ms Kamangara was fatally hurt with what police said was Mr Karue’s licensed gun.
A post-mortem conducted last Thursday revealed that she was clobbered with a blunt object before she was suffocated.
