2019, was the best year for the sing bird mercy Masika, a Kenyan gospel artist who hit the headlines when she appeared in the list of people set to attend the US National Prayer breakfast in Washington DC, after an invitation by the senate.
The Prayer breakfast took place on February 7, 2019 in Hilton, Washington DC. Mercy Masika arrived in US Washington a day before the event.It was her first time in US
Mercy expressed a lot of joy when she received the invite from Senator James Inhofe. She could’t contain the joy within herself and she took it to Instagram and posted;
“It’s my first time in America and Senator James Inhofe invited me personally to attend the breakfast. It’s humbling to be recognized by such influential people,” she stated.
She shared meals with global leaders and sat in the midst of influential people like President Trump who Delivered Remarks during the 2019 National Prayer Breakfast. See Here

It is a tradition that dates back and is significant in the US annual calendar attended by over 3,500 dignitaries from about 140 Countries.
