Revealed: Mistake JKUAT student did before attackers decided to stab her in the neck

Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) students have held a peaceful demonstrations around Juja and its environs to protest against the killing of innocent students.

The protests come after a first-year student at the institution, Tabitha Muthoni, was allegedly stabbed to death on Thursday night as she resisted thugs.

man being mugged by masked robber illustration If you meet with muggers and can’t run, just give the mugger what he wants. Your life is worth much more than your wallet or watch. Don’t fight back. Every self-defense expert talked to recommends this, and these are some tough guys who could take charge back, and take down, almost anyone they wanted — and yet they still say it’s not worth escalating the altercation into violence unless absolutely necessary.

Most muggers just want money from you. If you give them what they want, they’ll leave you alone. The majority of armed robberies end without injury.

When you give the wallet to your attacker, do so in a way that maintains distance between you and him. This may mean throwing it to him.

According to first responders on the scene of crime, Tabitha was in the company of another female friend when they were accosted by two thugs who demanded their valuables.

The deceased’s friend reportedly complied but Tabitha refused, prompting the gangsters to stab and violently rob her.

She was taken to the university hospital where she was declared dead on arrival ‘due to excessive bleeding’.

The university administration has since released a statement saying police have taken the deceased’s body to the Kenyatta University mortuary after the next of kin were notified.

“The extremely brutal manner in which Tabitha’s life was snuffed has understandably caused anxiety among JKUAT students and staff. The University is ready to work with security agents in Juja to investigate the incident and bring the culprits of this heinous crime to book. We urge our students to remain calm as police discharge their mandate,” the statement reads.
