A 38 year old man in Ol-kalau wielded a fork jembe and attacked his father after his father denied him Ksh.6000. A neighbour noticed that something was amiss after he noticed the 38 year old Daniel Kamau, spotting a cut on his hand.
After inquiring on his goings on with his hand, the 38 year old said that he had got it while trying to start his father’s car in order to take his father to the mortuary. The neibhbour, James Mwangi then decided to alert other neighbours who then came rushing to the deceased 67 year old John Maina’s home in Silanga village.
Upon investigation, the deceased was found with a deep cut on his forehead.The matter was then reported to the chief, who then called the police.
It is reported that Daniel Kamau committed the heinous, act after his father refused to give him six thousand shillings.The suspect was taken to Ol-Kalou police station, while his father’s body was taken to J M Memorial Hospital.
