How DP Ruto is wisely using his passport after CS Matiang’i’s promotion

The Deputy President William Ruto has transformed himself in every way since Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr . Fred Matianag’i was promoted to a De Facto Prime Minister.

CS Matiang’i’s position placed him directly in charge of all the development Agenda and reporting directly to the Head Of State President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Deputy President has since picked up peculiar roles and duties.

But since Matiang’i’s promotion, The Deputy President William Ruto traveled to UK London on Thursday.

On his trip, DP Ruto made quite good calls that are relevant towards Uhuru’s Big Four Agenda.

DP Ruto welcomed Britain’s assurance that Brexit will not disrupt trade relations between the two countries. He also insisted on continued engagement and use of technology to deepen collaboration on areas of mutual interest will boost our manufacturing sector; stimulate industry; drive the Big Four.

He also engaged potential investors telling them of the available resources to drive the agenda:

“Kenya has put in place the requisite infrastructure, including a favourable business, regulatory, legal regime and eased trading across borders to attract investors.”

He also urged the business people to take up business opportunities by promoting our local businesses and firms in different areas:

“We urge business people, who possess skills, technology and capital to partner with us in furthering the Big Four, especially healthcare, manufacturing and housing. The move will create jobs for youths, generate wealth and expand the economy.”

“This broadening of cross-border trade will allow Kenya penetrate new markets; enhance our competitive advantage and increase our foothold in global commerce. The arrangement will not preclude our traditional trade ties with the UK, which is a valued partner.”

DP Ruto is expected later during the week to give a public lecture in different institution on the peak of his tour to the UK.
