Prior to his death, Emiliano Sala was at the peak of his footballing powers. He had just secured a lucrative move from Nantes to Cardiff City.
Unfortunately, on January 21st, the private plane that he was travelling went down in the English channel.
For over three weeks, investigators have been searching for Sala’s body, with family members still hoping that the football superstar was alive and well.
Sadly, their hopes for a reunion with Sala were shattered as his body was discovered amidst the wreckage of the plane on Thursday.
With the confirmation of his death, fans and friends of the footballer, as well as professional athletes have gone online to offer their condolences to Sala’s family.

In his final interview, Sala was excited about the move to the Premier League, and was hoping to bring a positive impact to the club.
Indeed, his demise has been an emotional one for the football fraternity, epecially for Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock, who had high expectations for the striker to bolster his attacking options.
Emiliano will be remembered by his family, as well as Nantes fans who were dazzled by his mind-bending acrobatics and spectacular goals.
He was 30 years of age when he passed away.
