Desperate mother pleads for release of remaining son charged with slaughtering his brother

In a sad twist of events, a teary mother has fought for only remaining son in Nairobi court after being charged with killing his own brother on December 24th, 2018 unintentionally.

According to police, Ericka Oginga,22, woke up on the fateful morning of the offense and found that his wallet containing Sh650 was missing in their house.

Police stated that he tried looking for it in vain and so he woke up his late brother at around 11 am and asked him if he had seen it.

It is alleged that the late responded that he had not seen it prompting an argument, then a fight between the two where the late was left heavily bleeding with injuries.

Afterwards, Oginga left and on his return found his brother still lying on the floor then he rushed him for treatment but he succumbed to the injuries.

Oginga was arrested and when arraigned in court, their mother told the court to set him free saying he was her only remaining son.

Oginga was released on the personal bond awaiting a probation’s social evaluation report which will guide the court on how to deal with the matter.

If he however, skips attending court awaiting the determination of his case, he will be liable to pay Sh200,000.
