With the latest in being how Nyeri County officials are in Mombasa eating up the taxpayers money to deliberate on their projects and how they will budget for them. This cannot leave one wondering, aren’t there good resorts in Nyeri where they could stay and maybe just have a long discussion on this over lunch and by the end of the day they go back to their homes and save on transport and accommodation fees instead of flights which amount to half a million shillings but I guess when you are in a position where money is always allocated to you, you never wonder where it comes from.
Will there be a time where the wage bill be more than what is allocated for development .Kenyans took to social media and they had a lot to point out and they said we could learn from all our allies.

The salary of an MP should be capped at 200k, if you do not want it, don’t become an MP, soma ukuwe daktari.
People should take up leadership positions to change lives and serve citizens……. not because the salary is nice.#WageBillFromHell

Get Rid of the Senate – Cut down on the number of Counties. Cut down on the number of MPs and MCAs. Have a 50/50 share of Women and Men in ALL positions. Remove ALL Nominated Positions. Get rid of Women Reps. #WageBillFromHell pic.twitter.com/83RaU3U586

With this new constitution is becoming a burden on the normal mwananchi , politicians have hijacked the referendum agenda and selfishly made it about them and positions for them. All these salaries are paid by Kenyans… Time to rethink again, Is this what we want as a country
