Uhuru is plotting to kick Ruto out of power: Miguna

Miguna Miguna is not new to controversy. In his new book, Treason: The Case Against Tyrants and Renegades, the exiled lawyer claims that president Uhuru’s ‘mortal fear’of Ruto is pushing him to block his deputy from succeeding him. The Canada-based lawyer states that Ruto will soon be a casualty in the ongoing war against corruption. After all this fight against corruption is faked, and before the end of Uhuru’s second term, Ruto will fall, says Miguna.

Uhuru’s men executing the plan

Miguna is arguing that powerful individuals, allegedly enjoying blessings and tacit support of Uhuru will scuttle the Ruto’s plans of ascending to power. Is Hustler’s goose cooked? Miguna argues that that there is a scheme to ‘weaponise’ the fight against corruption that will ultimately see Ruto bundled out as Uhuru’s deputy. Miguna elaborates that Uhuru schemes to weaponise the war against graft in order to undermine, sabotage and destroy political enemies (perceived, or real), then proceed to remove his deputy from office.

“Uhuru’s men are determined to stop his deputy from ascending to power. They are doing that with Uhuru’s support. Jimmy Wanjigi, had also shared with me Uhuru’s mortal fear of Ruto,” says Miguna.

Former Jubilee vice-chairperson, David Murathe, who is Uhuru close ally has come out publicly vowing to do everything possible to block Ruto from becoming president after Uhuru’s term comes to an end in 2022. Recently, he resigned from his position declaring that he does not believe in Ruto. Consequently, he vowed to assemble a ‘Stop Ruto Movement’ that will ensure that Ruto does not become the commander in chief.

Ruto’s allies on the other hand have vowed to support the anti-corruption war but with a condition that this war is not politically instigated. Kipchumba Murkomen (the Senate Majority Leader) and some MPs from Rift Valley have come in defence of Ruto.
