During his first performance since the attack by two ‘MAGA supporters’, Jussie saw it fit to set the record straight in during his Troubadour performance. Taking the stage in West Hollywood, he said, “I had to be here tonight, y’all. I can’t let the motherf—ers win.”
The singer cum actor said, “I have so many words on my heart.” “The most important thing I have to say is thank you so much and that I’m okay. I’m not fully healed yet, but I’m going to. And I’m gonna stand strong with y’all… l will always stand for love. I will never stand for anything other than that. Regardless of what anyone else says, I will only stand for love. And I hope that you all will stand with me. So now… let’s do it.”
He made it clear to the hundreds of the fans that he fought back and will continue to persevere. He even compared himself to arguably the best hip hop artist of all time saying that he was the ‘gay Tupac.’
“I fought the f— back,” he proudly declared during his Troubadour encore, before jokingly adding, “I’m the gay Tupac”
He left the crowd saying, “We are proud. We are gay.”
