PHOTOS: 4 Billion Malindi Road project that has boosted tourism

This is the Malindi Sala Gate Road in Kilifi County. The project is being undertaken at a cost of Ksh. 4.15Bn.

The ongoing construction of this 117Km road is already boosting tourism growth in the county.

The construction of the road has boosted tourism in the region as tourists are now able to travel from Malindi to Tsavo National Park within two hours.

Kenyans from other regions have complained about the poor state of  roads  even though some leaders promised development and change.

Roads being one of the infrastructural features that contribute greatly to  economic upgrade and  improving living standards; the government is keen to make sure that  such projects are implemented as it should.

In other regions where Kenyans have been complaining,  roads turn out to be a mess especially during rainy seasons  and projects such as these are what Kenyans have been calling for.

Ambassador Dan Kazungu says that his people in rural Malindi finally saw tarmac passing through their villages for the first time since independence..

He also commended the project saying that it is a true game changer either way people look at it.

The government should ensure that more road projects  are implemented to ensure that Kenyans have more access to hospitals, schools as well as get easy transportation.
