A video of a youthful man who is alleged to have been caught stealing shoes at a mosque, being forced to eat pilipili as a punishment has caused an uproar on the internet.
The video that went viral on social media shows the man struggling to chew and swallow the plain pilipili.
A section of Kenyans on twitter has condemned the incident, terming the punishment as too harsh.

Some even wondered how the man was going to get the pilipili out of his body, which they termed as most harsh.
