Deep in a small village in Kitale, Trans Nzoia county, Musa Ingosi was born. His birth however, did not cause any ripples of joy but was rather discussed in hushed tones. His blood relatives immediately considered him an outcast and a bad omen and wanted him dead! Wait until you hear the unexpected turn in this story.
His father and mother turned out to be brother and sister, and their intimate relationship resulted into the birth of Musa Ingosi. The story however takes an unexpected turn as the two (father and mother) barely knew each other’s heritage. The grand father to Musa Ingosi,( father to Musa Ingosi’s father and mother) had separate children from previous relationships with different women and unbeknownst to them; met much later in life in the village.
Musa’s mother was compelled to kill the infant baby by her entire clan. On the material day, she decided to dump her baby instead of killing it, but later changed her mind and sold her baby(Musa Ingosi) to an old mama in the village for Shs. 700.
