Guardiola hints that Man Utd are still in PL title race

Pep Guardiola has refused to rule out Manchester United and Chelsea out of the Premier League title race.

Manchester City are again favourites to be champions after Liverpool dropped points in their 1-1 draw against West Ham on Monday night.

That result means that the Citizens now have a chance to go top of the league on Wednesday night when they face Everton at Goodison Park.

When asked if Tottenham can challenge for the league, Guardiola replied: “It is a question for yourself! I never say Tottenham was not there, or Chelsea. United is making this run of victories every single week.

“If Chelsea are able to do games in a row, they are a contender to win the Premier League. There are 39 points to play for, it is not too much. Everybody is ready to take points.”

On their trip to Merseyside, Guardiola added: “Goodison Park is always a tough game for us. Depending on the results, the approach is the same.

“Go there, try and make a good performance and win the game and of course we have the chance because Liverpool don’t play to go top.”
