Douglas Costa survives Narrowly motor accident which left his car wrecked

Juventus winger Douglas Costa could be referred to as a lucky man after coming out of a terrible motor accident untouched. The Brazilian star who has been heavily linked with a move to join Manchester United in a KSh 7 billion (£54 million), was not injured in an incident that left his car totally wrecked.

Quoting Corriere Torino (Italy), that reported the accident happened between Livorno Ferraris and Santhia in the province of Vercelli on the Turin-Milan motorway. The publication further revealed that Costa’s Jeep Cherokee crashed into a Fiat Punt and the 47-year-old driver in the other car was taken to Biella Hospital after sustaining injuries.

However, the severity of his condition was yet to be revealed but it is understood that no fatal injury was reported from the scene of the accident.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils still continue their relentless pursue of the Brazilian as they look to add more firepower to their attack. Costa has a deal with his present club until the summer of 2022, but there are claims Juve might be willing to offload him in a swap deal for Paul Pogba.

United were at some point understood to be willing to allow Pogba re-join Juventus this month in an exchange for Costa. The Italian League giants were heavily linked with a move for the French star last summer but the deal failed to pull through. Pogba would have dumped the club if former boss Jose Mourinho was still in charge with Barcelona among a host of clubs monitoring the situation and waiting to swoop in for him.
