Here’s why Liverpool fans are worried ahead of Monday’s game with Westham

Liverpool Know Need To Beat West To Go Five Points Clear At The Top Of The Table

Liverpool go into their Premier League match against West Ham two points clear at the top of the table and knowing that three points would once again put them clear of Man City.

In theory, everything should be rosy in the Anfield garden but there are signs of nerves creeping into their play in recent weeks with the 1-1 draw at home to Leicester last week a missed opportunity.

The Citizens are continuing to turn the screw on their heels with a 3-1 win over Arsenal on Sunday continuing their hot pursuit and that means that ll the pressure is back on Liverpool as they travel to West Ham for the Monday night Football.

Reds fans have had years of hurt when it comes to trying to win the top flight title and that has born out in recent days with the tone on social media becoming more and more nervous as the days go on.

Anything other than a win against the Hammers will give City the chance to go to the top of the table when they play Everton on Wednesday night and a quick look through twitter will prove that the nerves are starting to kick in…

We’ve not played well for months and with injuries im worried its caught up us – (@L_E_F1981)

We have to win this title. Sacrificed both domestic Cups to have a better fresher chance. Has to happen now or its massive failure. – (@TheKopHQ)

Only worried about Liverpool and our mindset and ability to win a league….City have proven they can do it – (@j444yyb)

Lot of pressure on Liverpool now for West Ham with City and Spurs both winning, and after after last week’s draw. Hopefully the players are more confident than I am! – (@syelaw)

The title race is now well and truly on with Spurs also in the frame following their resurgence but you do feel like the pressure is all on Liverpool given how the first half of the season has gone. So far the Reds have been sensational but now is the time they must show they have the minerals for the fight, starting tonight against West Ham.
