Kenyans are signing a petition over  a case involving  an Orphanage named Dows Children Home in Kapsiratet Boito, Bomet County Kenya.

This petition was started by Jane Mary Karuga as she indicated the concerns they have in regard to the case.

According to the petition, Gregory Hayes Dow, a convicted sex offender who molested his daughter from a previous marriage, moved to Kenya with his family to operate an Orphanage named Dows Children Home in Kapsiratet Boito, Bomet County Kenya.

They went as missionaries through LifeGate church in Elizabethtown Pennsylvania. They were in Kenya from 2008-2017.

In September 2017, two girls escaped from the orphanage, the children told the local town residents of abuses that were taking place in the orphanage.

Local authorities were immediately alerted about the incident. More victims confirmed and corroborate the many allegations which included physical, psychological, and sexual abuse.

When the police arrived at the Dows Children’s home, the Dows had fled the home, Gregory Dow fled the country but his wife Mary rose Dow was arrested and arraigned, she was held without bail for approximately 5 months due to her being a flight risk.

In January 2018 she was sentenced in Sotik court and found guilty of two counts of cruelty to a child because she aided the insertion of family planning (birth control) for the minor.

Gregory Dow is currently free here in the United States, a warrant of arrest was issued by the Kenyan authorities and forwarded to Interpol for his extradition to Kenya for him to face his charges.

Following this concern they are asking members to sign the petition to have the Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Kenya to pursue the case in order for justice to be had for the children of the Dow Children’s Home.
