With Arsenal set to take on Manchester City in a crunch time fixture on Sunday, manager Unai Emery has revealed that he would have full confidence in Denis Suarez to perform should he be handed a start
Arsenal confirmed the signing of Denis Suarez from Barcelona in the transfer deadline day for a loan deal until the end of the season with an option to make the move permanent.
Arsenal will travel to the Etihad Stadium looking to maintain their top four spot with a win thereby handing Manchester City a major blow in the title race.
Speaking in a press conference ahead of the Manchester City game, Emery revealed that he has the backing of Suarez should he start, “If he starts, I have confidence in him,” said Arsenal’s head coach. “I am thinking about all the players. He [Suarez] started to train yesterday [Wednesday] and today with the group. He has big character, he has the quality to play.”
