What has Ole Gunnar has brought at Manchester United

Manchester defender Phil Jones believes Ole Gunnar Solskajer has brought happiness back to the club.

Jones who has partnered Victor Lindelof at the heart of the defence in recent games says the Norwegian’s man-management skills are superb. Man United have gone 9 games unbeaten with the 2-2 draw against Burnley at Old Trafford the only point they dropped points in the seven league matches.

“He’s come in and wanted to move us forward and bring those happy times back, and I think he’s done that. His man-management skills are very good. He’ll let players know what’s happening, and as players, that’s all you can ask for. You just want a manager to be honest with you, and that’s exactly what he gives you.” Jones was quoted by Sky Sports.

The England international remains optimistic that they can seal the top four finish at the end of the season.

“We’re outside the top four which is obviously not where we want to be, and we have to make sure we finish in the top four. Come to the end of the season, if we do – OK we’ve not had a successful season – but we’ve made the best out of it that we can.” Jones added.

He joined United eight years ago from Blackburn Rovers when he was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson and his current contract is due to expire in five months time. His desire to stay another long time at Old Trafford is not questionable.

“I’m very settled – I’ve been settled for a long time here. Ever since I walked through the door I was made to feel very welcome. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time – it’s been great and long may it continue. Of course, I do [want to stay] – it’s Man Utd. This club has been part of my life for many years now. I love the club, the fans, the players. We’ll see what happens. It’s not down to me what happens.” the centre-back added.

Man United will play Leicester City on Sunday after the 2-2 draw against Burnley.
