Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko today  offered mourners with free transport going for the burial of the Late Cobra Oduor in Kisumu.

Last night together with the Nairobi Sports Management Board Sonko’s government extended a hand to the farewell preparations at the 2nd football tournament in Ziwani in COBRA’s memory after Strathmore’s tournament thereby giving a total of ksh250,000.

The Nairobi Governor said that no amount equates the life and talent that Kenya has lost but he prays for strength and hope in this trying time so that the  family may find comfort.

Oduor popularly known as Odu Cobra met his death in the 14 Riverside terrorist attack. He was founder of the online football channel Wadau TV.

Yesterday, his family and friends gathered to celebrate his life in a memorial service which was held at The All Saints Cathedral.

Following the news of his death, top celebrities and  football fanatics paid tribute and his body will be laid to rest tomorrow.

BBC Journalist Larry Madowo says that he was his friend from university and was killed on the eve of his birthday. Madowo says that he was one of the nicest and happiest people he had known.

Citizen TV Mike Okinyi says that today they celebrate him as a hero and  his Wadau TV will live on.
