Chelsea manager opted to travel by car back home, snubbing the team bus after his side lost 0-4 to AFC Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
It was one of the worst nights for Sarri as a Chelsea boss as his side was totally outsmarted by Bournemouth and the former Napoli manager accused his players of ignoring his instructions. Sarri opted to be driven home by car rather than join the squad on the team bus.
Reports suggest that he wanted to be alone and study why his tactics did not work being away from the noise of the team. However, his unusual decision could indicate a disharmony between him and his players.
Being Chelsea’s heaviest Premier League defeat since 1996, Sarri locked his players in the dressing room for 50 minutes where he asked them if he was the reason why their form has declined alarmingly.
