How Arsenal’s formation may change
How will Unai Emery incorporate Suarez into his Arsenal XI?
Suarez is a versatile player, who can play in a variety of positions in the middle of the park.
Suarez can play on the wings, as an attacking midfielder, or in a more central role.
Option 1: Suarez on Arsenal’s wing
To begin with at least, Suarez may start his Arsenal career on the right wing.
At the start of the season, Emery favoured a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan operated on the right of the forward line, however the Armenian is now out of action through injury.
Suarez could fill in for Mkhitaryan.
Option 2: Suarez as an attacking midfielder
Aaron Ramsey is poised to leave Arsenal as a free agent this summer.
Could Suarez replace Ramsey in Arsenal’s setup?
he Welsh international has often been deployed in the #10 role by Emery.
If that happens, that could be another signal that Mesut Ozil is out of favour at the Emirates Stadium.
Option 3: Suarez as a centre-mid
The final option is that Suarez lines up as a centre-mid for the Gunners.
Rather than challenging the likes of Ozil and Ramsey for a starting berth, Suarez could oust Granit Xhaka or Matteo Guendouzi from the team.
