Kenyan Premier League Limited has come out to defend Sponsors Sportpesa after controversial blogger Robert Alai mentioned them in the recent match-fixing Saga.
Kakamega Homeboyz FC had to to dismiss their coach Paul Nkata, his assistant and George Mandela for claims that they were being to fix matches.
His tweet reads:
When I talked about match-fixing, fools (including journalists) insulted me and called me all manner of names. Now the FKF boss is openly admitting that there is serious case of match-fixing locally. And let me tell you, Sportpesa is the leading culprit in this. pic.twitter.com/PKGKmrOVlG

In a statement, KPL holds that Sportpesa has no locals games available for betting on the platform hence hard substantiate his claims.
He has been advised alongside other Kenyans who feel they have enough evidence to report to KPL or FKF.
Here is the full statement:
Hi Robert, we read your tweet with great concern especially considering that our Sponsor, @SportPesa, does not make available our matches available for betting on their platform.
The Rules of Kenyan Football makes provision for clubs, and the general public, to report in writing to KPL, or FKF, any information on actions intended to influence the results of a match.
Provision of such information or evidence makes it possible for the matter to be taken up for action by the relevant disciplinary committee. If the evidence provided is sufficient enough, the matter can be forwarded to the police for further action.
Hi Robert,
we read your tweet with great concern especially considering that our Sponsor, @SportPesa, does not make available our matches available for betting on their platform.
