An elected ODM MCA in Kisii County has been ‘overthrown’.
This is after a local politician from Bomariba ward Isaac Motari claimed that the area MCA Protus Moindi has failed to represent the people who elected him during the August 8, 2017 polls.
Mr. Motari who doubles as Kisii County Jubilee party youth secretary general said leaders the MCA is lazy and greedy.
“Now that we can confirm Bomariba ward has misplaced lazy and greedy leaders without people’s needs at heart. I will automatically take over the Bomariba spokesperson position without fear,” read Motari’s statement.
According to the vocal politician, Bomariba is lagging behind in terms of development because the current MCA is not interested with development.
“I demand what rightfully belongs to Bomariba, so that we don’t remain voting machines. Help me God,” he added.
Mr. Moindi who served as Kisii County Assembly majority leader during his 2013-2017 tenure has been under fire due to underperformance.
Locals have vowed to show him the door in 2022.
“We were wrong electing someone with a limited mind in development. Moindi must go come 2022,” said Jared Magero.
