Why Sanchez return to fitness is headache for Manchester United

After both scoring in the FA Cup 3-1 win over Arsenal, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez are both presenting him with a selection headache.

Martial scored his first goal since the 5-1 win over Cardiff City back in December, a clash that started Sokskjaer’s reign at  Old Trafford. Sanchez also netted his first goal since the 3-2 comeback win over Newcastle United back in October but his time under Solskjaer has been limited due to a hamstring injury.

In a pre-match press conference ahead of the Cardiff City game Solskjaer noted that he will be facing a selection challenge between Martial and Solskjaer, “Finally, he’s (Martial) scoring! He scored against Cardiff and that was it for Anthony for a while! Yeah, it’s difficult to leave players out but it’s easy to put players in. That’s the thing.

“As long as you have got players to put in, that’s no problem because someone has to play, you can only play with 11 but as long as you have got so many players like I have that’s a good problem, an easy problem. Because I have been on the end of a couple of ‘I need to speak to you son’ and he has given me the reason why and he’s told when I am going to play again, so that’s no problem.”
