Monaco midfielder Cesc Fabregas says Thierry Henry could have been given more time at the club.
Henry was key to Fabrega’s move to Monaco but their reunion was cut short after the Frenchman was shown the door after a string of poor results.
Fabregas who started all three games under Henry believes the former Barcelona and Arsenal man could have succeeded if he was given more time. And now the Spaniard will have to adjust to life under Leonardo Jardim who was recalled by the club following the departure of Henry.
“Football doesn’t wait for anyone. Unfortunately, maybe he didn’t have the right time to make all his plans. Now we are in a new situation,” said Fabregas.
Henry managed only 15 points from 21 matches in charge of Monaco, with the club sitting second-bottom of Ligue 1.
