More students are expected to get bursaries from the sub county level following the call for application from various counties.
Already a number are benefiting from this program that is helping then to pursue their education.
This year, many cases of students being unable to get admitted in highschool over financial challenges were reported.
Although bursaries might not cover education for all, this move by sub counties will contribute greatly to more students gaining access to education services.
Earlier yesterday, all parents with students that sat for the 2018 KCPE examination Specifically from schools within Mombasa County & who scored 300 & above were urged to register their children in order to benefit from the bursary program.
Other counties that have shown active follow up of busaries is the Nairobi County where they constantly update citizens on when to apply.
