The winger has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich in recent weeks after impressing in cup clashes and off the bench under Maurizio Sarri.

And many believed today’s outing against Sheffield Wednesday could have been Hudson-Odoi’s last in a Chelsea shirt.

Speaking on the pitch after the game, the youngster was quizzed on his immediate future.

But Hudson-Odoi remained, refusing to confirm or deny whether he had already spoken to German giants Bayern over a potential Bundesliga switch this month.

“I don’t know, I can’t say,” he told the BBC.

“I’ll keep working hard and you never know what will happen.

“I thought we did very well. It was a great team performance.

“We did very well in training and worked really hard.

“That’s one of my highlights. It was nice to top it off with a goal.”

Hudson-Odoi reportedly handed in a transfer request over the weekend.

But Chelsea are said to have rejected yet another bid for the starlet in recent days.

“He’s a good player, I think he wants to play, but he has a lot of competition. A lot of players are in front of him,” Ruud Gullit told the BBC at half-time.

“I can understand he wants to play, I think Chelsea are in doubt because they see his potential but have better options at the moment.

“If it was my son, I would say go and play.

“You can only get better by playing, not sitting on the bench or playing with the U23’s. You don’t get better from that.”
