After a quiet January transfer window, Arsenal are set to complete their first business with their goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez set to be shipped out on loan to Championship side Reading.
The transfer deadline is just seven days away and Arsenal have been linked with Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, Belgium international Yannick Carrasco and Real Madrid star James Rodriguez (on loan at Bayern Munich).
With the arrival of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen, Martinez has seen his game time dwindle despite the departure of David Ospina on loan to Napoli.
Without any arrivals yet, Emery hinted at singing at least two players, “we can play with the players we have now and the same message is to you and every supporter, we only want to sign one or two players who can really help us with good performances. The club is working. They know our intentions, our possibilities for signing players that can help us, but they work and also with communication to us.”
