Arsenal Sent This Transfer Message About Signing Wolves Star – And Fans Will Love It

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady has taken to the Premier League so well that he’s been linked with two of the biggest clubs in the country.

Arsenal and Liverpool have been scouting the centre-back this season, both sides impressed with not only how well Coady has performed in defensive situations, but his ability to play the ball out from the back too.

Gareth Southgate, the England manager, has also been keeping a close eye on Coady as he considers a potential call-up to the national side.Coady has been key in helping Wolves make the transition to the Premier League look easy – and he’s highly rated by Molineux chiefs who are keen to tie him down to an improved contract.

The 25-year-old has two-and-a-half years to run on his current deal but Wolves are ready to hand out bumper new terms.

Wolves have, though, conceded eight goals in their last three Premier League games, shipping four against Leicester City, four against Manchester City and two against Crystal Palace.

They have also kept only one clean sheet in 15 matches – and Arsenal have been told to look elsewhere for a new centre-back instead of pursuing Coady.

Former Gunners full-back Lauren, who was part of the Invincibles side of 2004, thinks his former club should sign a player with more experience in the top flight as they look to address their own defensive woes.

He told bwin: “I would be surprised if Conor Coady was signed by Arsenal.

“I believe they need to look at players with more Premier League experience.”
