Club insiders insist supporters should not read too much into the sale of his house and that maybe it is as simple as he is just moving house, there are no known bids or enquiries for Carroll at this stage despite a recent rumour linking him an unlikely move to Spurs.

That rumour was shot down by club insiders early this week as pure fantasy. Another rumour suggests the Carroll family could move to the US to play in the MLS after his contract with West Ham finishes.
