Mike sonko, a man who says it as it is has been in the news for both the good and the bad. Good in the sense that he is always there for his people whenever they need him and bad in the sense that he is always surrounded in controversy and pretty much seem to thrive in them.
If you thought that Sonko’s leadership journey started in Nairobi then you are so wrong. In an exclusive interview on Citizen TV, Sonko revealed that his journey to leadership started way back in nursery where he was the prefect.
He then moved to Primary where he became the monitor. The Nairobi Chief later became a basketball captain in High school and was also in charge of his Dormitory.
Sonko would later find himself in one prison after the other but leadership was still following him.
In Shimo la Tewa Prison, Sonko was the leader of the remand block. He later went to Industrial area and Kamiti Prisons where he also assumed leadership roles.
Sonko would later be the leader of an Eastlands Matatu group after leaving Prison.
“I was a prefect while in nursery school; leadership is in my blood and God knows where i am heading to,” said Sonko.
Sonko went further to reaveal how alongside his wife, they suffered and even stayed in single room apartments across various estates in Eastlands.
He called on Kenyan leaders to present themselves to Kenyans for who they are when seeking leadership positions.

There is one thing I love about @MikeSonko he is bold enough to speak his life other than playing holy like the tanga tanga team. You are true inspiration to many hustlers who have passed through shit and who believes ends gonner meet, God bless you sir.
