News that ODM’s National Executive Committee has adopted a recommendation by ODM’s disciplinary committee to expell Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and her Msambweni counterpart Suleiman Dori has sparked mixed reactions among supporters of ODM with a great number of supporters apparently welcoming the move.
Dori and Aisha are now facing at expulsion despite pleading for mercy with their fate now in the hands of the National Governing Council of the party to be convened to ratify the recommendation.
“NEC has endorsed recommendation by the Disciplinary Committee to expel Hon. Aisha Jumwa and Hon. Suleiman Dori from the party. National Governing Council of the party to be convened to ratify the recommendation.” said ODM.
NEC also directed that the two be de-whippped from the lucrative parliamentary committees with immediate effect.
